Lead qualification automated — sales team 2x more productive
A mid-market SaaS platform's SDR team was spending 60% of its week on the phone qualifying leads that never converted. Thinkly deployed an AI voice agent + HubSpot workflow that qualifies inbound leads in under two minutes and books demos directly onto AE calendars — doubling per-rep productivity.
The problem
The company was buying 800+ inbound leads a month across paid search, content and G2. Two SDRs called each one — three attempts on average — and only ~30% got qualified before going cold.
Time-zone spread across US, UK and APAC meant a huge portion of leads went stale before an SDR could reach them.
Manual CRM logging added ~10 minutes per call in HubSpot admin, further shrinking selling time.
What we built
Thinkly built an AI voice agent that dials new inbound leads within 60 seconds of form submission — day or night — introduces itself as an AI research assistant, and runs a BANT-style qualification script tuned to the client's ICP.
Qualified leads are handed straight to the on-call AE via a warm live-transfer or booked directly into the AE's Calendly based on real-time availability and territory rules.
Every call is transcribed, summarized and pushed to HubSpot with the right lead score, next-step task and call recording — no manual data entry.
A feedback loop tags AE-marked 'bad qualifications' and retrains the qualification prompt weekly, so the agent gets sharper without engineering involvement.
The results
- 70% of inbound leads are now qualified by the AI voice agent within two minutes of form submission.
- Speed-to-lead dropped from an average of 42 minutes to under 60 seconds — a 40x improvement.
- Demo-to-close rate rose 38% because AEs only spend time with leads the AI has already qualified.
- SDR headcount was frozen while inbound volume grew 3x; existing SDRs shifted to outbound account-based motion.
